Description
------- This is a collection of more than 30 pieces of laboratory glassware and related equipment. Most pieces have either 14/20 or 24/40 joints. INCLUDES TWO ESPECIALLY RARE PIECES: A distillation column with an electrically-heated sealed chamber that runs the length of the column. A transformer is included, too. The other rare item is a micro-rotary evaporator of a novel design. This is hard to explain in text, but one shaft rotates inside of the other one, and it is hollow with small holes in the Pyrex glass, which enables vapors to escape into the collection flask. Note that this device requires a teflon O-ring, which we do not have (but they are available through any lab supply company.) Also, the shaft on the micro-rotary evaporator is broken off on one end, making it slightly shorter than it was originally - but this does not affect its operation in any way (and it could actually be repaired easily by any glass shop, since it would simply be a seal between solid glass rods, which is very basic work.) Other pieces include MANY adapters, including thermometer adapters, stir bearings, 24/40 - 14/20 adapters, a vacuum takeoff adapter, etc. ALSO a 100 ml THREE-NECK flask (14/20 angled) and a heating mantle for 100ml size (also two other single neck 100 ml flasks.) MUCH MORE - see photos below. All pieces look like they are clean and in very good condition, except for the chip on the end of the rod (explained above) and also some mineral deposits on the inside of one of the 100ml single-neck flasks. Otherwise looks like most of this was never even used. This was part of a larger collection of equipment we sold off years ago on ebay when we took over the water testing laboratory. If you have been shopping with us for long enough, you might remember that huge collection that we ran through. I thought it had all been sold off years ago, but we discovered one box of a few oddball items, and have put them together here. No reserve - good luck!WE INCLUDE INSURANCE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST (for packages within the U.S.)
