Description
This is a Demo model that was never used, stored in a controlled environment. Sartorius has discontinued this model July 2008, so there is not a need for this unit.  They will still support it with service and calibration, if needed. MSRP for this item is $4590.  I am offering it for much less, because I do not have a use for it.  Only serious offers will be considered. It powers on and will tare and self calibrate correctly.  I was able to check it against a few master weights that I have, with excellent results, although none of the master weights I have are of the accuracy that are needed to verify the calibration of this balance.   From Sartorius' website:”The new Sartorius CP generation of the field-proven Sartorius Competence series of laboratory balances, whose reliability has won over many users in their daily lab procedures, sets the standards yet again in technology, quality and features. The new CP is the first choice for those who wish to avoid the risk of buying the “wrong” weighing equipment. The combination of high-performance technological features in every CP analytical balance with a rugged, built-to-last design ensures the best possible accuracy in continuous laboratory use. Every CP analytical balance has exactly the performance features that are required for fast and professional processing of weighing tasks. These include, for example, ISO/GLP recording and printing, in conjunction with a data printer from Sartorius or a computer. The bidirectional RS-232C data interface provides the basis for communication with other equipment, such as a computer.Built-in, user-friendly application programs provide valuable support for advanced requirements, such as weighing in percent, net-total formulation, animal weighing, mass unit conversion and counting. Built-in, motorized calibration weight ensures the highest accuracy at the press of a key isoCAL calibration and adjustment function; facilitates regular, fully automatic calibration and adjustment to ensure the consistently high accuracy of the balance Generously dimensioned draft shield; easily to clean Innovative, patented monolithic weigh cell for outstanding performance EngineeringAll balances in the Sartorius CP series are equipped with a monolithic weigh cell available only from Sartorius. This cell is not only incredibly precise, but also exceptionally reliable and durable. And the new Sartorius CP scores winning points with further technical advantages that ensure continuous operation of the balance with the greatest possible accuracy: Take the built-in, motorized calibration weight: Just touch the CAL key, and the balance will automatically perform internal calibration and adjustment – whenever required in your process. And there’s the isoCAL function. When the ambient temperature changes by a specific value or once a defined time interval has elapsed, isoCAL performs internal calibration and adjustment fully automatically. Therefore, the balance ensures that calibration is carried out at regular intervals, and delivers consistently high accuracy. FeaturesThe Sartorius CP has precisely the features you need for fast and professional processingof weighing tasks in everyday laboratory routines. This includes ISO/GLP-compliant documentation. Connected to a Sartorius data printer or a computer, the new Sartorius CP enables you to comply with documentation requirements for use in a quality management system. Both the construction and size are specially adapted to the particular readability, offering tangible assets in actual use: Innovative all-glass draft shield, with smooth-action doors that open extremely wide; ideally designed for thorough cleaning (removable weighing chamber base plate) and amply sized weighing chamber Built-in, motorized calibration weight, for the highest weighing accuracy at the touch of a key. Built-in application programs: counting, weighing in %, net-total formulation; animal weighing; mass unit conversion by toggling between 2 units Very easy to operate; all keys feature positive click action; 2 large tare keys; clear and logically arranged keypad RS-232 serial interface port Excellent, high-contrast, easy-to-read display, with especially large digits (16.5 mm) Monolithic weigh cell technology – rugged, precise, reliable – year after year ISO/GLP-compliant logging of calibration, adjustment and weighing data using an optional data printer or a PC Fine range of 80 g with a readability of 0.01 mg – exceptional in this price range Four digital filter levels allow the balance to be optimally adapted to the particular ambient conditions at the place of installation Adding a bidirectional RS-232C data interface provides the ideal basis for communication; for example, with a PC. For advanced applications, such as weighing in percent, net-total formulation, dynamic weighing or animal weighing, mass unit conversion and counting, the CP offers these easy-to-run programs as standard features.QualityNot just the housing, but also the entire construction of the new Sartorius CP with its powerful core, the monolithic weigh cell, stand up to the abuse of tough daily use. The same goes for the control keys, the components on a balance that are most frequently used. Even after they have been pressed tens of thousands of times, they will continue to work precisely just like they have from day one, with positive click action for reliable activation of their respective functions.” Specifications: CP225D Semi-Micro Balance Weighing Capacity: 40/80/220g Readability: 0.01/0.01/0.1mg Tare Range (subtractive): –220g Repeatability (std. deviation): Less than or equal to +/-0.02/0.05/0.1mg Linearity: Less than or equal to +/-0.03/0.1/0.2mg Response Time (average): Less than or equal to 12/3s Operating Temperature Range: +10° to +30°C (50° to 86°F) Allowable Ambient Operating Temperature: +5° to +40°C  (41° to 104°F) Sensitivity Drift Within +10° to +30°C: Less than or equal to +/- 1*10e-6 /K Calibration Weight: 200g (Class E2) Net Weight, approx.: 7.6kg Pan Size (Inner diameter): 80mm Dia.
